Simple&Chic in Atlanta: What I Wore

It's been a while since my last What I Wore post, so I thought I'd share my favourite outfit from my trip to Atlanta.

Even though I've been home for a month (!!), I can't stop thinking about Georgia. Many of the places I visit have something special about them, but so few give me butterflies. Georgia is one of the latter.

Maybe it's the state's long (and, I admit, often horrifying) history that fascinates me, or the huge Barnes and Noble I found, or my love of Gone With the Wind. Whatever it is, I already want to go back!

About these photos: On a lazy day at the historic Highland Inn, in Atlanta's lovely Poncey-Highland neighbourhood, I set up my tripod and lounged in my room. I hoped for a relaxed, pin-up, simple&chic feel, and am so happy with the results!

What I Wore:

Top: Winners
Leggings: Joe Fresh

Make-up:

Moisturizer: Yves Rocher
Eyeliner: Annabelle
Lip balm: EOS

C'est tout! Simple & chic!

Full disclosure: I have no affiliation with the Highland Inn; I just had a great experience!

Things I Love Thursday  Friday

It's been a great week! I went swimming in a huge outdoor Orlando pool, explored Downtown Disney and enjoyed a lemon cupcake in Atlanta.

Plus... Little things which made me smile:

• Gingerbread shaped like Mickey Mouse • That 70's Show reruns • My neon-striped top • Buying stationary! • The adorable black cat who was snoozing in the inn's sitting room • Double-decker buses. Atlanta's Edgewood Shopping District •

What made your week?

My new friend, Jack the cat, who lives in the hotel's sitting room.

Hello, Atlanta!

Hey, gorgeous readers!

I'm sitting on my hotel bed in Atlanta, Georgia, eating strawberries and lamenting the fact that today is my only day here.

I love Atlanta. I knew I would. I've wanted to visit this city ever since I started traveling by myself. There's just something about it that calls to me. I know I feel that way about a lot of places, but Atlanta is special.

It's the city air and small-town feel, the culture, the fact that it's beautiful here.

I do miss Toronto though, so in some ways I'm glad I'm going home soon.

Do you feel this way when you travel?

P.S. if you're ever in Atlanta, treat yourself to a cupcake from The Atlanta Cupcake Factory. The lemon ones are amazing!
