Hello, beautiful!
I'm so happy you're here!
FatIsNotABadWord is a lifestyle guide for fat femmes.
This is not just another lifestyle blog. You won't find weight loss stories or diet advice or 'how to look skinnier' tips in these pages! On the contrary, you'll find fashion, travel and health stories, as well as personal essays and oodles of resources exclusively for people who are body positive, working for fat liberation, and who simply have had enough of diet culture making them feel that they're never enough.
I want you to be comfortable exactly as you are.
Sound good?
To get started, why not check out my most popular articles?
~ Full-Fat Frappuccinos (hint: this isn't just about coffee!)
~ I Stopped Reading "Health" Magazines + You Should Too!
~ How To: Look Gorgeous Without Makeup
~ 7 Easy Body Image Boosters
~ Simple and Chic In Atlanta: What I Wore
Or, here's a list of the weekly features I post in addition to articles. Click the name to read every post in that category.
~ Music Monday. A taste of the songs I'm listening to non-stop & a great start to your week.
~ Things I Love Friday (TiLF). A weekly chance to be grateful & celebrate all we have, TiLF is a list of the little things that made me smile, plus an opportunity for you to share your own TiLF list.
~ Link Love features links I find interesting, useful, fun or fabulous. It's posted on (most) Fridays or Saturdays.
Occasional features include: An Open Letter To... and What I Wore.
Or, search! Type in your query in the search box on the left side of the page, and voila!
Finally, a little about me:
~I believe people of all genders deserve to look good, feel great and have fun. Have your cake and eat a cupcake too, baby! I work with individuals and businesses in numerous ways to uphold and share this belief-- mental health coaching, copywriting, business consulting and blogging. I've slowed down since my disabilities have gotten more severe, but my conviction in my beliefs has never wavered.
